We also love hi-end watches

Beautiful and the handmade strap by your son makes it so much more special.

Truly gorgeous. What a color!!

Man, while I’m done buying watches right now, these Panerais stay on my radar screen just because Phil Collins is pictured wearing them kind of regularly. I have the wrist size to pull it off, but I just can’t justify another watch.

Your son’s strap looks exceptional. If he sells in different sizes I’d be game to get one for my Seamaster.

I may need this.

Adrian Barker just did a video on that one. I have to admit it’s a good looking watch. I’ve not been traditionally attracted to Breitlings but that one is exceptional.

38mm??
Man that is tiny!

I guess you are correct in today’s mega-size era.
Not long ago, 38mm would be considered large.
I like larger models in that they simply are more legible. Brand, history, and asthetics are even a larger part of ownership.
But, the measure of a man is not in the size of watch, I think.

I was thinking it would fit better under dress shirt sleeves. My Speedmasters are all too large and I’ve had the buttons moved to accommodate.

I get that. I’m the opposite of thick-wristed and 38mm suits me fine. I like the look of the sparse, simple, military influenced designs like IWC (Pilot) and Panerai, and Breitling, for that matter.
But, a 42 or 45mm can be a bit much.
Still on the shopping list, though. Hard to serve so many hobby gods. Maybe esoteric coffee and their machines are a better choice. My fear is this adventure would only drown another rabbit in another hole.

Brilliant.
I shudder to think of the cost of a full service.

Sadness.

Rolex, Patek and AP will likely not be affected, new or used.
Luxury watches are just that, pure luxury. And the market for them typically are not counting pennies until they can afford them. I hear the snobbery in what I said, but it’s just the facts, senator.
Meanwhile we look at our phones for the exact time, should we care about that.

As I am retired I don’t bother with time.

Freeing, isn’t it?
When I worked, I would sometimes wear two watches, one in the project time zone.
