I do have a Swiss digital fuse box with a graphene sluggo. Instead of switching out the amp I also thought about adding an xlr to rca transformer like decwares zbit
The ZBIT is an amazing device. The new two input version is intriguing!
Amp and sound makes one as well. Not sure if I want to wait 6 months for decware. There wait times have become crazy long
Pinetree Audio sells one as well. I have one of theirs, itâs good, but not as transparent as the Decware.
I continue to use the Pass XA-25 as my main and I have a few to choose from. It just always sounds right. Iâve had it a while and still it amazes me listening how much it didnât cost. I also know that if you do some searching youâll read that it delivers more than you might think. Itâs simple with no inlaid fancy adornments or extra stuff. Iâve had a few Pass components since my first Threshold preamp in 1981. Nelson Pass and his associates really do take care or their customers. I would buy another XA-25 if I needed to and used would be fine with me too. I bought this from Reno HiFi and also wish they were still doing it.
Thanks. I did email suncoast audio. Havenât heard back yet
If they donât respond to the e-mail in a day or two might want to give them a call. In addition to normal business they are business behind the Florida Audio Expo coming up soon. So I expect they are running in multiple directions at once.
Good to know. Thanks
Over The Weeknd I did some more research and 2 other amps crossed my radar
- The rogue audio dragon
- LTa reference 40 plus
Also curious as to why no one recommended the m1200?
I suggest you audition them with your speakers and cables in your room. Amplifier to speaker synergy is critical IME.
I tried some M1200s. They do the job. They can play really loud. But thereâs a good reason that the BHK models exist.
2nd the Coda. I just had an 8 and they are amazing. I went Integrated however for 2025. That being said, I have a local buddy with Coda 8 NIB. Never opened. V1. 4500. Just FYI.
Also curious as to why everyone is ignoring Mark Levinson
Rumor has it even Kim Cattrall is showing less interest
Iâm sure theyâre great ( bhk ) but the days of heavy amps are behind me. My 56 yo back canât take it
( first disc partial herniation was moving a heavy Sherwood amp )
Everyone knows that heavy amps are best. Mine is âonlyâ 107 pounds. A guy on this forum has a 450# amp. He seems to like it, but I think it doesnât get moved around much.
I tend to agree, since I like A/A-B designs with large toroidal transformers. The bigger (and heavier) the better.
[Generally speaking, YMMV, IMO, IME, etc., etcâŚ]
PS
Mine only weigh 76lbs each.
My amp seems nice. All Class A , all the time. Plus, the furnace doesnât have as much to do when it is on.
