Transfer from an original RCA 1S/1S. A another great Kenneth Wilkinson recording with that beautifully realistic mid-hall perspective he was able to capture.
Follow-up note: The first track is a huge orchestral prelude (full blast) that is not cleanly tracked. It sounds like a pressing defect where the grooves did not form cleanly. But, after that all is very nice and the remainder of the album is very cleanly tracked. I asked Bob Witrak about this, and he agreed. But, such are the variables with vinyl. And after the first track, the rest of it is too good not to release.
