Qobuz. HR. This is Hahn’s second, more assured, take on the Bach. If Shaham’s interpretation was a gambol, then this is more of a stroll through the pieces. I find it more nuanced, and I think I prefer it. Excellent sound. I think I shall leave Huggett & Podger for another day; there is a limit to the amount of high culture that a chap can take in one sitting.
I like Hilary a great deal as well.
