New on Qobuz. HR. I have a soft spot for the early Vaughan Williams, and this lyrical symphony harks back to that period. The Finzi clarinet piece matches it well. Full orchestral pieces do suffer from being played at low volume in the early morning; you need to hear the range. It was all very smooth, perhaps a little too smooth.
