Qobuz. HR. Another offering from MS Kopatchinskaja. This is a concept album and I am afraid it didn’t really take off for me. perhaps because the level was low and I didn’t turn the volume up enough. Mostly modern (i.e. post-Baroque) stuff but it wasn’t screechy and plinky enough to rouse any great indignation on my part. Some spoken interludes (in Yiddish?). If you want to experience Ms Kopatchinskaja at her zany best then I recommend her ‘Take Two’ album.
