Ian McGeachy aka John Martyn, born in London, his parents were opera singers - he was 5 years old when they divorced and he was shipped up to Glasgow. Genius or headcase!? Acquired taste. Blues, Folk, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Rock ?..definitely not mainstream.! His best work was on the earlier albums before he went electric. He is definitely one of my all time favourites. Best to buy anthology CD to see if you get him!! I was going to say a greatest hits CD…but there isn’t any…! :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for the info, when I have more time I’ll look through his releases and take a listen on youtube of some of his work. We are always hunting music which is new to us. :slightly_smiling_face:

You’re more than welcome. I have been listening to his albums for over 50 years. You’ll not beat that :slightly_smiling_face: ‘Late to the party’. That said, Chris stopped listening to new music in 1750s… :heart_eyes:
