What are you spinning now? (Mk 3)

Gary Bartz “Bartz” . . . .

The cheesiest of Bartz records probably. But I love Bartz’ sound and “singing playing” so much that I just listen past the discoed arrangements to his “voice.” He had such joy and energy at this time.

It’s good to know that using Roon to play an MQA CD ripped to WAV preserves the MQA information.

Thanks to @ronaldwanders and @JeffofArabica for the Tidal Playlists. That was a huge amount of skilled labor to share.

Dirk, I LOVE this album! “Collaboration” was one of the first albums to introduce me to Earl Klugh. I still play it all the time. I’m new to the forums, but I hope to contribute some of my favorites soon. As soon as I get up the courage , that is. Thanks for posting an album I know and love.

Great stuff. Glad to have you onboard the best thread on the forum.

Welcome to the club and post away. We all appreciate it and everyone learns something.

Just throw down! The more, the better!

Mrs. Amsco and myself are headed to Madison, WI tomorrow. Driving my, new to me, fancy ass car. Really looking forward to it. @weedeewop is a resident and resident Madison expert. Provided me with lots of great recommendations. Took several to heart and made reservations for dinner at Merchant and A Pig in a Fur Coat. I’m sure we’ll hit up some of his cocktail bar recommendations (wife and I can sit at most any good cocktail bar for hours chatting with whatever people we meet) in addition to music clubs.

If you’re headed up to the capital city behind the cheese curtain, hit him up for ideas!

I get to start the short vacation tonight by pouring a few, smoking a little, and spinning some music! Ahhhhh.

Thanks for the great welcome, Guys! I will probably start posting some albums soon. My main hesitation is because I’m pretty much a mainstream guy and I figured most people here wouldn’t be interested in what I listen to. But, if you don’t mind…I will.

How do you add the cover art to your post?

I use a windows “snip & sketch” program. There should be something native on whatever platform you are using. Others should chime in with their methods. When I was without internet here I would do a screen grab off my phone (using Roon) and post it. You can copy/paste or drag a picture file to your reply and it will magically appear.

Another one from @ronaldwanders play lists

I’m an iPad and JRIver/JRemote user. I take a screen shot of the album art and use the picture icon at the top of the post to insert the screen shot. Takes a couple steps and only seconds.

This isn’t a Bear Family set but I’m on a Traditional Country tear. Ernie B. is a record distributor that carried lots of Bear Family sets but lost the distributorship. Bear Family “tried” to control distribution and, I think, lost a lot of sales (PSA…pay attention).

Well, Ernie B is reconfiguring under Millions of Records. He is again carrying Bear Family (not a lot but significant). The prices have gone down and are now in line with the market IMHO. That means I’m back in the market for new Bear Family and it’s great!
