I think I’m so smart sometimes, got it all worked out. Lots of fancy paper to prove it too. Then, I go to put up shelves. I needed a 1/4” offset, for reasons, but I mark the wall in the wrong direction of the offset I need. I’m now off 1/2”. Life is humbling.
The Beatles are why I care about music. They taught me the gift of music. See y’all next weekend.
Bob Dylan “John Wesley Harding,” Mobile Fidelity Lab stereo SACD–I appreciate this album more and more as time passes.
Bobby Hutcherson “Happenings” Blute Note Japan RVG LP facsimile cd
Jack Wilson “Easterly Winds” Blute Note Japan RVG LP facsimile cd. Nice session, a sextet with a difference in arranging and piano style.
Woody Shaw “Live in Bremen 1983” a nice quartet date with great sound.
Hermeto Pascoal & Grupo “No Mundo dos Sons” HIGH energy quirky funkiness.
“Miles Davis in Europe” (the version from the Complete Columbia Albums box set)–This is just a set for the ages, drama, innovation, drive! I love “I Thought about You” here.
I tried listening to it again on both desktop and main systems. I am not really much wiser. There is stereo separation but no 3D image. The ensemble is larger than is usual for playing Geminiani, and thus possibly sounds a little less precise, but the diffuse sound extended beyond that. I think I shall just give up on trying to explain it; classing it as beyond my critical pay grade.
