Fun stuff, with Blakey, Silver, Pettiford, others. Great recording for 1954.

Ok. I don’t care what the critics say but this has always been my favorite McCartney album. Not just the fact that everyone’s on it (Steve Gadd. Ringo, Carl Perkins, Stevie Wonder). But also I enjoyed every track (even Dress Me Up As A Robber). Whenever I listen to Take It Away, I remember playing the Cassette in a Buick Riveria (circa '72 or '72) in a car that belonged top a customer of my Dad’s. It was a Pioneer tape deck and I used to play Take It Away with my Dad driving to pick my Mom up from work. This was usually around 10:30pm. I was 12 or so.

This is where no matter how resolving of a system you have. If it conjours up good or bad memories when you playback music on it. It’s done it’s job.

Qobuz. HR. I have posted this before, but after an early morning attempt to listen to a couple of Steve Reich albums proved intolerable I went for a safe option. Good sound and a primer on baroque dance forms,

I picked this LP up for a dollar, gave it a good cleaning and it plays very good.
