Volume 2 of North’s renditions of lute music by ‘il Divino’. This time at 24/96. I shall have to re-listen to Vol 1 to see if the higher resolution makes much difference for solo lute. I like North’s nuanced playing, but Canova is no Dowland.

I have now checked. 24/96 does seem to give greater clarity compared to 16/44.1. Different albums so no AB evaluation.

Being honest I can’t say that I notice a massive improvement over the original album… ( just compared them ) I would say I hear more of an improvement with Making Movies album than the first Dire Straits record…

I needed a total change of pace after Max and all those percussionists and Eric Dolphy. . . .
