Tony Bennett “On Holiday” Columbia cd. I ignored this too long. I think it’s great.

I’m assuming this is the LP version of this, I got the CD version when it first came out at one of his concerts. I was disappointed in the sound quality, though the playing was wonderful. Have you had a chance to compare the CD version to this one? I’ve been avoiding new LP’s of late, running out of room and interest in the LP ritual.

I don’t have that album on vinyl - only the CD. I don’t think it was ever available on vinyl but I could well be wrong! Yes - it isn’t the best sounding CD, but the songs and his guitar playing make up for the rest of the disc shortfalls.

Another favourite. Neil Young / Live Rust… Double album of both solo acoustic and electric with Crazy Horse…

I saw Robert Cray live at an outdoor amphitheater in Atlanta in the early 90’s. The sound system was poorly balanced and you couldn’t hear his voice well. I prefer how he sounds on my home system.

I remember when this album first came out. One of the older guys in the neighborhood bought it. It has been my favorite Dylan album ever since.

You know, I was looking at the photo and didn’t see a jewel case so thought “LP”! D’oh, this is not a jewel case, it’s a paper sleeve, I knew that, but my brain couldn’t connect the dots. Oh well … I agree with your overall assessment!

Keep posting this now and then, but it’s beautiful, and goes from meditative bits to jamming. Just a really nice record.

Will be seeing Jack end of next month with Joe Lovano, et al.
