Qobuz. 16/44.1. A very pleasant selection of pieces by Biber, Schmelzer, Cima, Frescobaldi and others. Very adequate but not exceptional.

I was at that show, perhaps my all-time favorite. After the Blues Brothers, the Dead came on at midnight and played until 6 a.m. Then Bill Graham served breakfast and we went home. A great farewell to Winterland (which really did feel like a fire trap to be honest).

I could not find this on Qobuz, so I am listening to his string quartets by the Vanbrugh Quartet. I was not familiar with Moeran, and based on very limited listening so far he seems very reminiscent of Vaughan Williams.

Indeed. Very much in the English Pastoral camp with a lot of Celtic folk music influence.

ok i bet this is awesome.

Might have to hunt it down as i’m not seeing it on Tidal.

Highly recommended Coltrane. Just picked it up from Amazon. Nice clean open sound.

I agree 100%. Remastering done right. Much better soundstage and presence.
