24/192. A review of this album which I read whilst searching for the picture described Rachel Podger’s playing as stolid. This surprised me since I found it well-nuanced. I thought that I was only familiar with Frescobaldi, Cima and Uccellini of the composers featured but my wife took to the final Bertali chaconne, and claimed that she knew about Bertali through me. Weird. I am very partial to a chaconne myself.
