I’ve posted before about concerts I would like to go back and see…this is one for sure. I’m not old enough, close, but back then, in Chicago, most didn’t cross the line. Would now! Plus it’d be a tourist bar, sure wasn’t then.

Close to last one for the night, I start listening to single songs and am so consumed with the greatness, I just want to share.
Just ordered!
Classic Bluegrass, great selections; should include 20-20 Vision (and walkin roundblind)
Alotta Carla tonight.

Don’t know if the cover is arousing or frightening!

Before he lost his finger (or whatever major hand injury he suffered), Mac played guitar. This is a rockn’ Song.
For someone to make a comment like that means you know Bluegrass. Have some great compilation recommendations? I’m aways looking…
@amsco15 “Blue Moon of Kentucky 1936-1949” is an awesome six-CD bluegrass compilation from Bear Family Records, which I spin frequently, although I have read that there is a much cheaper way to obtain most of the same music:

Had to look up what happened to Mac’s hand. He was shot in the left ring finger. That ended his guitar playing. He has led quite the life. Spent time in a Fort Worth federal prison on drug charges.
He is a legend in New Orleans. Race can be so polarizing everywhere, yet he crosses all the boundaries. When his time comes, he will be sent out in grand New Orleans style. I will attempt to attend.
Saved to my Spotify list for some serious listening later.
