Alexander Goehr: When Adam Fell, Op. 89 (2011) & Pastorals, Op. 19 (1965)

Sade - “Ultimate Collection” with George Michael - “Symphonica”; playlist in shuffle, started late last evening and then continued this morning after my sweetie and me finished breakfast early at the South Lake (Estrella); cruising in her 56 Thunderbird. Sade is just amazing and I miss George… man could he sing…
Another killer curated collection of unreleased Bob Dylan material from A Thousand Highways, this time focusing on 1994. With any luck, it is still available for free download here.
I was at the October 19, 1994 concert at NYC’s Roseland Ballroom, where track #10 (“If You See Her, Say Hello”) was recorded. It was my first Dylan concert (a then-unknown-to-me Sheryl Crow was the opening act). I have seen Dylan many times since then, but the Roseland show was far and away the best.
Magic…

Can’t remember if I recommended this yet but it’s good. You’d like it.

You have posted this before. Think I’ll download it off HDtracks in a few minutes. I’ll give it a spin tonight. Thanks!
My most loved hard bop track, period. Melodic, so your wife will like it, too!
I usually play the japanese King GXK LP, but the Mosaic box is nice, too. Not reissued by Music Matters, Classic Records or Analogue Productions unfortunately so far.
I dig it. Their voices are really nice together. I put it on during Dinner, our table is off to the side of my speakers. I thought Norah’s vocals were mixed way too low but, sitting in the sweet spot, this sounds really good: very modern recording.
I like “Barbara Allen” a lot!! A song made for Billie Joe Armstrong…nice Irish Folk sounding. Really good stuff! Thanks, it’s amazing what I pick up here!
I imagine that there exists somewhere a better live reggae album than Babylon by Bus, but I have yet to hear it!
I love it, too, especially „Jammin“!
“Kinky Reggae” is the song…instant…right to my “Maximum Party” list.
I haven’t posted about my love for Henry Mancini lately. Find “Here’s Looking at You, Kid” and tell me that’s not a top 10 groovy song…
Always a great big Thank You. The MTV tracks sound very good. The live tracks are excellent, I am a big live fan especially when one gets the feeling that you are there. Did I mention lossless files.
I couldn’t find a good 45 cover to post…this’ll do. John Lee Hooker “Grinder Man.” I believe him!!
It is the shortest cut on Babylon by Bus, but I want to give a shout-out to “Rat Race.” The line, “Rasta don’t work for no C.I.A.” floors me every time I hear it, and allegedly it has a real-world explanation that is rather chilling.
