This is one of the new Decca Original Source releases. For these I find it almost laughable that they could improve upon those old Decca releases. But this one is one of the old Decca/Philips releases so maybe there was room for improvement? I do not have an original to find out.

Agree on both counts. A point of clarification, this was recorded in DSD256 and is available as a Pure DSD256 download. Agree it should be highly recommended!

Newly issued by Reference Recordings: Honeck and the Pittsburgh performing Dvořák’s 9th, plus Carlos Simon’s Four Black American Dances. Just a few minutes into it, and both performance and recording sound pretty great.
