There are many great recordings the Goldberg Variations out there, and I have a number of them, but I am liking what I am hearing in this one. I’m streaming it on Tidal; if it turns out to be a keeper, I’ll pick up the CD.

I never get enough of this recording. Magnificent composition, arrangement, and performance. It’s available on Tidal and Qobuz.

This Analogue Productions CD reissue of the Johanos/Dallas recording of the Rachmaninov Symphonic Dances sounds amazing played on the new Marantz SACD 30n. I’ll go out on a limb and suggest it sounds every bit as good as my ancient Vox/Turnabout LP, plus it has none of the surface noise.
