Where is the Grand Canyon?

Here’s a nice canyon, you could name the next DSD DAC software update after it.

I’ll be happy to take an open-box price on a returned unit.

My PST is not going anywhere. I do like it but in proper perspective.

I felt the same way when I received my PST, not a huge difference. But like every other piece of audio gear, it needs to be broken-in. My PST started shinning at around 750 hrs, now at a 1000 hrs, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it, although I wouldn’t describe the difference being of Grand Canyon proportion.
The PST is more refined and organic sounding, with better imagining and low level detail. Vocals are also more fleshed out and real sounding, as well as all the instruments. There was definitely enough of an improvement, combined with having a player that will hopefully be serviceable for quite some time, for me to justify the upgrade.

Humm… if I am already in Grand Canyon, do I see Grand Canyon? If my system is 90% perfect to my ears, can I hear “Grand Canyon”. Luckily, I started with using cheap and old SONY DVD player as transport to DSDAC (I.e. 10 thousand miles away), went through the PST beta testing. Now With PST+DSD in my system it indeed looks (“hear”) like Grand Canyon from the place I from. I am afraid that from now on, I might not be able to see Grand Canyon anymore!

I wonder what is the frequency, resolution and file format for real life without a recording involved?

Watkins Glenn Race Track. That was legendary back in the 60s.
