Which Cover Album are You Spinning Right Now?

One I sorta lose track of from time to time over the years, and somehow never really thought of as a Cover Album before - but as they’re Standards… :man_shrugging:t5:

Pretty low level recording for some reason, so don’t be afraid to Turn This one Up. Just remember that you did, or the next selection may prove LOUD-ish. Three of my favorite players.

Hard not to like that trio, and for their covers there is the deep immersion of:

Had the good fortune of seeing Jack a year or so ago. A high point of my concert-going life. Guy is still vital at 70-something, as is Herbie at 80.:pray:t2:

Really nice cover version of this classic Grateful Dead tune:

Pierre Colombet, the quartet’s leader, explains that: “As an ensemble we try to be as broad in our repertoire choices as possible. Genres like pop and jazz are often overlooked by the classical world because classical music is so intelligent, but when other musical genres are played really well they can also reveal treasures. This is why it is important for us to play jazz and other styles of music for a classical audience – because it introduces them to something new; and equally jazz and pop audiences can discover that classical instruments are capable of different sounds. Our jazz-playing also helps to inform our classical performance. It enables us to look at the score from a different perspective and to see classical music as a kind of improvisation. We like to be as free as possible in our performance and for every concert to be slightly different.”

Dammit, not available on Qobuz.

The Chrissie Hynde album? I am seeing it on Qobuz. . . .

Sorry, Qobuz offers only a tidal version only, Qobuz doesn’t offer a Qobuz version. I subscribe to Qobuz only. I will check back in a few days or just order a CD.

Are you saying the album won’t play on Qobuz? If so, something is wrong. It plays fine on Qobuz on my end. . . .

Those bastards, first Kenny, and now me?

I will keep trying because I love Chrissie covering Dylan on his MSG tribute concert.

Plays fine in Qobuz for me, too.

Yikes, I wonder if discontinuing my subscription to Tidal is haunting me . I use ROON and can find over 90% of the albums that I search, so happy till now. This year I noticed that after a search, ROON usually brings up the Tidal version and I have to click on “version” and select Qobuz (not so for Ms. Hynde, dammit). I have looked for a setting in ROON to direct search results to Qobuz, help but found none.
Can anyone offer an explanation, a fix?

Success, I just ran another search and eureka!

I believe the Qobuz symbol after ‘Format’ confirms that the album is playing from the Qobuz library.
