For an inexpensive, yet functional and attractive cable risers, you can not beat the wooden BED risers from Amazon. Search “wooden bed risers.” Priced at $21-$30. Very stable and notched that prevent cables from slipping off.
Wondering if you meant to post this in the original thread your started a while back.
I had all but forgotten about that post, however, time buries posts and newer ones take their place, eh?
I do admit that the post you reminded me of was much more elegant.

I meant to ask you if you know how to “bump or promote’” that post I made before so as to make it “current”?
Are you using cable lifters? If yes, what do you use?
Archie-
It’s funny because I had just read that initial post yesterday and then saw this one a bit later ![]()
I do not know how to promote the initial post (not sure that is a feature). I use cable lifters mostly for looks / cable management as I don’t hear a difference with or without them. I use those antique ceramic insulators that used to be installed on telephone poles. I like them a lot and they are relatively cheap.
I feel as you do; I cannot discern or differentiate any benefit of using cable riser’s; other that is looks cool. I think if there were electrical wiring running in the floor of a second story room, possibly risers would distance cable away from that source of potential EMI.
