This one I just downloaded from NativeDSD, and it sounded great in my system!
So is this one:
Very enjoyable, on Qobuz in 192/24
Agree, very enjoyable. Also on Tidal in 192/24.
best sound version out there it smokes analogue producion sacd
ps. but it doesnt say if it is pure dsd (mastered in DSD with no PCM)
interestng to put the microphone behind the piano
were can this dsd256 be buy?
Yes, Songs for Distingue Lovers from HDTT is a Pure DSD256 transfer with no PCM processing.
thank you for the information; is sad they didnt info about that, like in the same way they did with miles davis kind of blue and others, there you can read:
" Please Note: This release was mastered in DSD with no PCM. (Pure DSD)"
they have many albums in dsd 256 but it doesnt say if it is pure dsd or not, sometimes they say it has been in dxd first but sometimes they dont say nothing just dsd 256
Sure, I agree. But this album was issued several years before Bob started added the additional clarification. You can, however, see the “Mastered in DSD256” on the front cover. That will be the key for any similar albums you discover.
Hi Buho, a bit late on this, but these titles are available directly from the Stereo Sound online store. The bundle offer from last Winter seems to be permanent, now you can buy three titles for 33000 yen instead of the 11-17k yen each. You will need to use a proxy if you live outside Japan but this is very straightforward using Buyee/Worldshopping.
I now have about half of the releases and all are outstanding. I’d rank them in this order:
These next two are slightly better than their AP SACD counterparts but just slightly
5. Burgos - Spanish Suites/Espanola
6. Zubin Mehta - Mahler No.3
7. Britten - Mozart Nos. 25 & 29 (I put this last because haven’t listened to it enough to rank it properly)
I spun the rest of the titles on offer on Qobuz, I liked what I heard but did not feel it justified buying DSD 256 copies at these prices for now.
Released today. An outstanding recording by Jared Sacks and excellent music and performances by Rembrandt Frerichs and his Trio. Review posted here:
PSA: NativeDSD has a special through MAY 20 of 30% OFF Pure DSD albums. This is in celebration of the release of the Rembrandt Trio’s The Blue Hour Sessions Pure DSD256 release (not included in the Special), which you can read about in the link below.
Pure DSD albums included in the 30% Off Special (over 260 albums).
New from Bert van der Wolf’s Spirit of Turtle website
Wonderful performance of Ravel’s Piano Concerto, available here
Available for download in multiple formats. But if your DAC is designed to show off the edit master Bert mixes in DXD
Yes, this is a very nice performance and recording. Bert does great work. As you point out, the edit master is DXD. I keep wishing Bert would release the 32-bit DXD edit master files, but I’ve not been able to convince him yet to do so.
