Your Next Upgrade? (Part 1)

The English Electric comes packaged with a Chord C ethernet cable, which probably doubles my investment in such cables. My Chord C usb cable was cheaper, it was in a blister pack on the front of a £4 magazine.

I think it was WC Fields who said “A friend in need is a pest” :grinning:

The Gryphon has landed!
Inside. On wheels, ready for action!

From behind.

Wow! That’s a piece of kit!

My poor back. My neighbor, a kind and strong man helped 64 year old me get this out if the garage and into the basement. I own the special straps for moving heavy and ungainly objects. This weighs over 180 pounds. It was quite a struggle. Hopefully my punk rock music will sound really loud.

The irony would be to play Never Mind the Bollocks first. Looks like an amazing machine. Best it’ll sound amazing.

That piano dolly looks like it’s going to break in two.

Wow!!!

You need one more to run as monoblocks!

Curious the idle watt hours of pure class A?

Dedicated circuit for each half?

Love it! It answers one of my pet peeves, which is components that are “dual mono”, but have one power input.

Awesome looking piece of audio excellence. What is the hot plate looking disk on top? Since it is Class A I bet you can boil a teapot if you play it loud enough. Let us know how the tea tastes and the glorious music it makes.

Clearly, it’s for a skillet. For one’s simultaneous culinary and aural enjoyment.

Did you take it out of the box before bringing it in? I did that recently with a 120 lb amp…worked out pretty well for me.

Neat critter.

Nice! Rugged design.

I am thinking Stevie Ray cooking some Tin Pan Alley.

It is two individual amps in one chassis.
Two power cables. Two power switches.
150 watts per side pure class A.

Normally I would guess there is a giant transformer under there but I think there are two giant transformers under there if it is two amps in one case.

I saw the green bias connection for connecting to one of their preamps. Can you separately adjust where the Class A bias kicks out? Such as Class A for the first 25W?

Oh why bother when it generously gives 150 a side class A. Get out the marshmallows and ask it for a little bit s’more!
