@Somppsa Thanks for sharing that. He also reviewed the Inakustik Referenz USB and liked it better than his Stealth $2k USB. The USB review describes what I hear and like about the cable to a T. Interesting he was using Gryphon amplifier for the trial I also checked out his equipment page. He uses Lyngdorf Room Perfect in an RP-1. That is the same DSP software I use in my MX150 reference system and have set up in my bedroom system on the TDAI2200. That tidbit alone I respect his reviewer opinions even more.
The cable does make me want to try the LS-4004 cables even more though it doesn’t sound that far off from Iconoclast SPTPC
I am probably going to choose to stay with my Iconoclast SPTPC cables for awhile. I want to hear from someone who buys a set of those beautiful looking cables. They, like so many of their cables seem reasonably priced. I own more than a few of their Ethernet cables.
I have a feeling @vee is the one who probably will get them now first.There is full silver version of LS-4004 model for 27000€ I am also holding back for now and staying with Iconos. Looking in to future I see myself upgrading PS Audio dsd mk2 and Octave streamer maybe. And a few power cables and usb and hdmi and… lol
I’m listening to some Audience Front Row speaker cables that I borrowed. I’ve been listening for hours.
What a mistake. Another expensive mistake.
Maybe hypnosis will stop me from borrowing things.
The 4004 is already on order, along with RCA version of the 2404, USB, HDMI and ethernet. Copper, not the silver though. Perhaps silver when I pick up the Stenheim Reference Ultime… in another life.
I haven’t A/B the the SPTPC, but my tests had me gradually moving away from Iconoclast XLR and TPC/SPTPC for various reasons (I have both, but loaned the SPTPC to my friend who lent me the 2404) to RCA and now the 2404 speaker cables.
I’m also swapping back and forth between Tungsram 6JD8 and Gold Lion 6922 in this latest cable configuration. My ears are favoring the 6922 as more balanced and spacious where the Tungsram are forward and rich in the mids with narrower staging. I’ve also tried Brimar, Siemens, Psvane, Gold Lion 12AU7.
Is the FrontRow pleasing you more than the Iconoclast?
I am sad, I ordered a FrontRow USB cable but while waiting for it to arrive a Sigma USB cable came into my hands and it slays the Front Row. Should I send you my Sigma speaker cables to test? I would welcome your opinion.
You will really likethe USB and ethernet Referenz cables. Especially with the DSD mod transformers. Excited to hear how the eternet and 4004 sound to you.
The difference between the Front Row and Iconoclast is pretty stark. The FR are much more detailed but not really any brighter. Very nice.
The imaging is better with the FR. Also very nice.
But the Iconoclast have more density, better bass, a richer overall presentation.
My initial reaction to the increased detail of the FR was very positive. But after a day of listening, I’m settling back into the familiar warmth of the IC’s.
I have the FrontRows for a few more days. We’ll see how it goes.
And I have tried Sigma speaker cables and I preferred the Iconoclasts.
At the moment here in “waiting patiently for the rest of my gear to show up land” I have taken my NBS Universal II preamp out and replaced it with the highly regarded MBL N11. Of course I didn’t open a manual as I am a GENIUS so it took a while to get sound out of it.
At the moment I am MBL N11 with the MBL N31 and the Gryphon Antileon Evo feeding my Wilson Yvette speakers.
Power for the MBL gear is provided by Shunyata Sigma power cables. The Antileon has Stealth Dream 18 power cables (2).
Interconnects are Stealth Sakra V16 slur cables. Ethernet is an Inakustik cat 7 super hyperbole 2i spaz edition.
Grand Funk sounds amazing! It’s like Mark Farner is standing on my knees. Whooooboy!! Going to try the other band next.
I’d suggest nothing less than a copper OFE Faraday cage with a braided SPTPC ground strap. Reminds me of the EMP tests done at the US Army Corps of Engineers CERL Facility in Champaign.

Listening to Stan Getz Plays Jobim, her comment with the Iconoclasts was that it sounded “luxurious”. I liked that choice of descriptor.
Same tracks with the Front Rows, “Astrud sounds like a disembodied head singing right in front of me. It’s almost creepy”.
