I have three M1s en route to me for PST, DAC, BHK. I have the M1 in the P20 and am interested in the sound of a full compliment. Purples are in the units now and I like the 1M / 3P combo. Taking bets on the final ratio.

Olympica nova, any size are end game speakers. I listened to the Nova 2 (floor stand) smaller size. Just gorgeous.
Though I went for the Buchardt Audio S400 Signature Edition with Buchardt stands. They look great, are made in Denmark and have superb cross overs. Size and budget are a better fit for us.

Oh this will be interesting. I want to belie it w will be at lest 3M1 to 2P. I find all of one thing usually is too much in one area. Sometimes you need a mix.

I understand what you can hear because my previous speakers were Dynaudio from Denmark, Evoke 10 first and Evoke 50 after.
I’ve been working on getting my digital to approach the performance of my analog. It’s getting too close for comfort, so I decided to give my analog a boost. I just ordered from the Cable Company a Hyperion MKIIES cartridge. We’ll see if it’s any better than my Benz LPS MR when it comes.

Al, Teddy Pardo specifically lists a mini-DIN power cable for the Synology/QNAP devices. That’s to work with their own power supplies.
If you do something with this, would you please let us know if it resulted in any improvement? It won’t affect my current model which has an onboard power supply and standard power cable port, but it makes me wonder if I should “downgrade” to a model that uses an outboard power supply.

Today my brother brought over his Esoteric N-01XD and we did a bunch of comparisons. First we played my system as is with my Esoteric N-3t to the Matrix with Dragon HDMI to modified DS. Just totally incredible sounding! My brother agrees. Then we used his unit’s DAC from my streamer. We use the same cables to take that out of the equation. The sound was really good, but lost some transparency and was a little more veiled. The DS sounded more live and was much better than the Esoteric DAC. My brother agrees.
Next we tried the N-01XD as one unit vs my setup and results were about the same, my setup is so much better.
It is interesting though when we ran from my streamer to Matrix and XLR into his DAC, it still didn’t sound as good as my DS, but it did sound better than his Esoteric without the Matrix, so the Matrix is really helping with sound quality any way you use it.
This review is getting long so I’ll stop here, so I can say my DS is way better sounding the way I use it than the Esoteric. His Esoteric will need the external clock to play in the same playing field.
One last thing is we tried taking the SR UEF Ethernet switch in and out of the system and boy, was there a difference. Night and day difference. My brother couldn’t believe it.

Those that say tweaking does not do much for sound quality, I say hogwash! My brother’s stock DS was blown out by the Esoteric’s DAC, but my tweaked out DS blew out the Esoteric. There is no question in my mind after today. Oh, the Farad Super 3 with Purple fuse helped a little too. Next on my list, Farad Super 10.
