Your Next Upgrade? (Part 1)

My dog Roy is highly trained and a crack shot with my 12 gauge… but then again, 410 would be better for inside vermin control… don’t want to pepper the speaker cabinets with lead shot…:slightly_smiling_face:

I can picture Roy crouching behind a rock aiming the shotgun at marauders (human and mousey)

Being surrounded by neighbours with cats here seems to keep the numbers down - I’ve never detected a mouse in the house, just the occasional slug incursion into the garage (and, once or twice attached to my crocs) in the back room.
They don’t last long…

I can’t believe you went with the cheap, “Victor” trap.

There are much better mousetraps out there.

With a system like that to protect, you need to upgrade:

“The Victor Electronic Mouse Trap uses innovative technology to deliver a high-voltage shock, eliminating mice in seconds. This powerful device is capable of killing up to 100 mice per set of batteries (4 AA), making it a great value. It’s also easy to use! To use, simply place a high protein bait in the provided bait cup, place in a location with high rodent activity and power on. Advanced smart circuit technology senses when a mouse enters the tunnel, triggering the system to deliver a humane, high-voltage shock. After making a catch, a green LED light blinks to indicate a kill.”

Nothing says “audiophile”, like a battery-operated power supply.

Funny thing was I saw a video of that trap and looked it up last night.
Very Uber and audiophile safe as it won’t introduce noise into the electrical grid!

All kidding aside, I kind of prefer (sickly enough) the SNAP!! of a mousetrap being sprung.

That said, no stains on your carpet with those techno-wow, battery operated thing-a-ma-bobs.

Happy Hunting.

What is that distribution device?
I’m looking for something compact for my little office system that I seem to take apart, sell some pieces, buy some different pieces, then start the cycle over again. I’m in the putting it back together phase again

Best,

It’s that time of the year again. . . :slightly_frowning_face:

I’ve been sleuthing how they are coming in. We recently had an AC unit and a 22kw generator installed. Looks like they didn’t plug up the entry points properly when they installed the new lines. I used expanding foam and fine wire mesh to hopefully stop their entry point.

Hopefully that does the trick. Congrats on the gennie install. We are 6 months out just to get a quote from the local Generac dealer.

It’s a kit from Parts Connexion.
You can buy pre-built or DIY

I prefer the Airedale death shake. Only surpassed by a victory strut worthy of a WWF wrestler.

Do they make input for an external power supply? Sbooster or Farad? That would be an audiophile mouse trap.

Although the cats are not allowed in my audio room, with 20 cats any mouse that would enter the house would have a death wish!

@vkennedy61 How is the Jeff Rowland amp sounding as more time has elapsed?

Yes we are all curious.

Technically this isn’t a “Next Upgrade,” because it is currently in my system, but it is my very latest addition (2 weeks). It performs quite nicely. Oh how I’d missed spinning wax.

Has anyone tired PS Audio’s accessory the Humzero? If so, please evaluate.

Welcome to the land of vinyl. Now to scout out all those BlueNote TonePoets. Worth the effort IME.
