A pair of Townshend Podiums would help substantially. The Size 4 units are a little tight, but Size 5 will likely be perfect. They do a fine job of decoupling the subs from the room.
I have the 2x4 crossed at 20, 70 and 120 and finished dialing them in by ear and REW yesterday. I’m very tempted to hold on to the system as is. It’s nice to be able to remotely adjust the 25s level upwards for film material to shake the floor a bit.

I can officially say that after the p20 acquisition recently, I’ve got the best system that I want to have. For my pure classical and jazz collection it’s all I need and want. So done upgrading for this life.

I have interest in the Podiums and have looked at the product line. The footprint of the N25s is larger than a washer or dryer. 2 of them stacked weigh 350 pounds. I do not believe Townsend has a platform large enough. As always I enjoy being corrected.
I tried to find a podium large enough for my Vivid Spirits and came up blank. I didn’t make any phone calls though.
Nice thought though. When that song came in it wasn’t vibrating the subs. It was shaking the world. That song has lots of sub 40hz funk.

I was thinking about Podiums for our Sopra 2’s, but I think I am going to go with Gaia I’s. The Sopra have a wide base with the outward facing port at the bottom.

Odd, I put on Erotic City and didn’t get a lot of sub-bass energy… At least not as much as I find in East Flatbush by New York United or Loose Ends by Jagwar Ma.
On the Podiums, they can make a podium to size–it will cost more since it’s a special build. I’m using a Size 4 E-cell I plan to use for the S812 six pack and it works; the footer at the rear hangs off about three inches which is fine since the N25 is front heavy. The F load cell takes up to 440lbs. Let me know if an intro to the guy that fills my orders is helpful.

It was a particular long play mix that had many words in the title. When we set the crossover down from 35hz to 25hz the earth calmed. I took this to mean there was a lot of content between 25 and 35 Hz. Anyway, fun!

Excellent taste/eye for quality, IMO…love the Tannoy’s aesthetic.
Does your system do double duty as a home theater (the third, smaller Tannoy caught my eye)?

I love the Tannoys too. THey are very neutral. As a violinist myself, I don’t want any color added to the recorded music. And they’re very efficient, so the FW amp can drive them easily. The FW is very good at neutral and has kind of an analog sound.
No home theater. I have quite a few classical surround DSD files and SACDs from Channel, BIS, etc, so that’s when they come on. I have a separate five channel amp etc for all that. You can kinda see the black stuff on the right.
