Your Next Upgrade? (Part 2)

Thanks, off the top of my head I am unaware of any local dealers, 3 hour drive MOL, or distributors of either line. Will keep them in mind.

Skip of Audio Thesis in Arlington is the distributor for Norma along with Italian speaker maker Rosso Fiorentino. Fidelity Imports is now the Audia Flight distributor when Paul at the Audio Shoppe gave the brand up. Before Verity developed their own line of electronics they showed with Audia Flight in the US. They import lines like Goldring, Gold Note and Primare along with Michell TT’s. Don’t know about the guys at Fidelity but I’ve always been able to reach Skip by phone or e-mail.

Do you own or have experience with either? I may contact Skip and Fidelity Imports in the near future.

Hot off the press! Near the tipty top of my search for “downsizing”.

Yes, I’ve owned an Audia Flight integrated for about four years that I bought from Paul. I’ve used it with the Otello’s, Nola KO’s and now it’s in the Family Room at the Greenville house driving a pair of Reynaud Abscisse Jubile’s. Slightly warm tone with great bottom end and meaty mid-range. From how they have been described to me by Skip and an owner the Norma seems to fit in the same general category. Another interesting and beautiful option would be one of the Pathos integrated amps. It appears that Kevin is their US Distributor. If Audio Archon has one in stock the Coda integrated might be worth a listen as they have a great reputation for sound and build quality.

That’s quite a beast at 135lbs for downsizing.

Most familiar with the Coda house sound, and with Mike Kay’s Audio Archon. Regarding your Audia Flight experience was it the FLS-10?

That thing is a beast! I look forward to your impressions once it is in house.

That is a serious piece of kit by looks and weight of it.

Amps gotta have transformers in order to kick out lots of clean power, IMO (save for some select and up and coming, I’m sure GaN-centric designs.)

I posted elsewhere about a great service experience with AGD Productions.

My pair of The Audion amplifiers are on their way back from Califorinia with the latest iteration of Alberto’s GaNTube: https://agdproduction.com/agd-gantube88kt-mkiii/

Looking forward to hearing how these upgrade my office system…(but might have to give them a spin in the Big Rig as well)…

I’ve heard AGD gear at a number of shows. Always liked what I heard. Good luck!

Thank you Tony.

The aesthetics are not for everyone, but the little dynamos I have (The Audion) are very, very good performers – and I like the look.

I have the polished versions (not my pictures):

Those are end game speakers.
Way down the road, when you have some money burning a hole in your pocket and nothing else to spend it on, the Wilson Acoustic Diode feet make a startling improvement.
And in my experience, the Pass INT-60 makes the Sabrinas sing beautifully.
Take your time and have fun!

It’s an odd concept (to me), but it does look quite cool

This seller is having trouble getting rid of these too. I think it’s because they are either going out of business or no longer selling in the USA. I am sure they would make someone a great set of speakers.

Thanks, I am very pleased with them. I need to get them dialed in before I get into isolation. The Pass INT-60 is a possibility. I need to get my Puritan PSM-156 out odf the shop, and determine what if any impact it has on the sound.

Being truthful, Verity Audio is done, and the California seller/dealer is trying to move them out to make room for a new line. I discussed them with the dealer in St. Paul, he wants $22k for his pair with an upgraded finish. I’m sure they are a fine sounding speaker, but considering Verity Audio is no longer producing speakers his pricing seems out of touch with the market.

I think you will find them very flexible in positioning.
