Where are these cables going…sources?
I currently have Stealth Dream 2020 20amp cords currently on the Shunyata Everest power conditioner and Rowland 925 amps.
So I will play around with these 15amp cords on the EMM Labs D/A, Taiko Extreme, Ediscreation Silent Switch/Firebird LPS.
Thanks!
Congrats, great news. Pics?
Room and set up can bring more improvements (I know after a challenging amount of time) than any other audio stuff!
Congrats FRO!
Keep us informed on results. From the picture I suppose the Cu version is the one already existent in the line up while the UNI version is totally new.
Sometimes standing waves are easiest dealt with by moving the listening chair.
I just tried a set of Stack feet and I agree with you. I first put them under what I thought would be least affected, the power supply for my phono preamp.
After just a few minutes listening, I ordered three more sets. Good product, good value for money.
Clearly you are having fun, enjoy the ride! I’ll assume no floor adjustments are necessary.
No, I’m not moving walls or floors, thank God, but overall it is not sounding as good as before. More wall treatments and moving speakers and chair.
I’m optimistic.
Is your new room closer to the “golder ratio”? Good luck in finding a new optimal position.
I’m a sick person. I told the family we should not spend crazy on this trip so we can save for our next trip. Then secretly I ordered a Muon Pro System plus an AQ Dragon speaker jumper.
Blame it on Andreas. He told me my stellar Stack SmoothLan can only handle 100 mb, and that got into my head even though I knew it made a noticeable improvement downstream of Omega ethernet. I hope Muon Pro would be a lot better than Omega+SmoothLan to make me feel better.
I don’t know for sure why I ordered Dragon jumpers, but they seem nice, and I will start my Mai Tai round soon.
Donald, you seem to be going cold turkey on your stereo system.
Hopefully the rest of your family enjoys their vacation in Hawaii. Now that you have ordered the new toys, I hope that you can enjoy the rest of your vacation and spend less time here in the forum and think about your hi-fi system. You have enough time at home. Greetings Andreas
My fiber optic single kit arrived today. I was too lazy to get all the parts individually so I bought an Adot complete kit. Nothing has changed tonally, it could be that the spatial representation has gained something. Maybe it’s now too early to judge this and my cold doesn’t help with listening very well either. Greetings Andreas
After a few hours I notice a higher resolution and better spatial representation. I should be done with the streaming chain for now. As long as I don’t come across any stupid ideas here in the forum.
Yes, I am able to spread my speakers more and pull back the listening chair from them. It is very close to the Golden Ratio. I am also able to align the FR 30 tweeters more in line with my head, and reduce the stilts that my chair is on. Unfortunately, I don’t think AUVA 100’s are in my future, even at maximum angle, but never say never.
The Auva 100 gives your speakers wings. I am very impressed with how the Auva 100 have helped to present the sound clearly and more harmoniously. Lows, mids and highs are clean and form a more harmonious sound. The representation dissolves and floats in space. Thanks for that, Donald. You told me that I should try out the Auva 100 and explore new worlds of sound. I can also recommend the Auva 100. A sound tip that is worth the investment. The Stack Audio EQ’s are also really good. If you liked Muon pro then you won’t be disappointed with the Auva 100. Al would say an increase to Sakra level or Powerzone.
Maybe it also depends a bit on the floor. The effect on my wooden floor is excellent.
I would say that the sound has generally improved with the Auva 100. High and midrange are clean and open. The low frequency range is slimmer and tighter. Humps have disappeared and details such as the swing of a drum or double bass side are cleaner.
Greetings Andreas
I also really liked the Auva EQs – they made the biggest improvement under my dac, followed by server. I’ll eventually get more sets for other components. On top of that, I’m another recent Auva 100 convert. I liked them enough to keep them, but I’d been making other changes at the same time so I can’t isolate their specific level of impact. They look like clown shoes on my smaller speakers, but somehow I’ll manage to live with it.
The EQs also have a side benefit of lifting components up enough to fit an SR Tranquility Pod underneath
Brother you have got it bad. At least you are enjoying your self in the islands while “mainlining" - chasing the Dragon so to speak. I’d like to think the Muon Pro will be a game changer for you. At least you showed restraint and aoly ordered Dragon jumpers, not a pair of Dragon SC.
But I will say it, never, lol.
On the serious side, enjoy tweaking your system. While sometimes frustrating until you get there, the journey is worth it, as you already know.
I did a TON of experimenting, over multiple years, until I finally got it right for me. There were lots of up and downs. There was a time I thought everything was right, then @aangen @paul172 and @weedeewop had me listen to some killer systems and brought me back to almost square one, lol.
Just remember, you are the final judge. Killer system BTW.
I also use Tranquility Pods to great effect under my amps, between my DAC and pre, on top if my AirLens and under my Active Ground Block SE…
I’m on vacation too, Donald. You just tipped me over into “secretly” ordering a Muon Pro whilst sitting on a boat ride. The 100mb output of the etherRegen is a pain when it’s also the only connection to my MacMini running BACCH4Mac! I hope to hear a step up in streaming as well, given all the endorsements from members of this forum!
Cheers,
Phil
