Look forward to your comments once they settle in.
Is it certain the Valparaiso service center is no more? Rumors have been circulating since Axpona 2024 that the tech will be retiring soon.
I still have all three, and I couldnât agree more.
The cj GAT adds a whole new dimension, in a good way, to the sound. Not taking anything from the MU2, but that cj magic can be special in the right system.
Regarding the Grimm MU2, forgoeing the preamp section and utilizing the one in the Diablo 333 makes sense. Remember the Grimm offers a killer server/streamer, with and incredible DAC. I see the Grimm preamp as a bonus, but the integrated Diablo 333 has its own special magic, especially when partnered with a PZ 3.10.
Confirmed my suspicions,
From what I experienced itâs more like described here in this extensive review/comparison: AudioQuest Niagara 5000 PS Audio P20 - Positive Feedback
But looking forward to hearing the PZ. Also trying out the Allocator from Schnerzinger soon.
Clearly the installation of any Power re-conditioner, optimizer, or regenerator is situational. Best to install and compare in oneâs own system. Pricey, yes, but the PZ is a nice improvement over the P15.
New toy in the house! Letting it settle in and come to room temperature. This thing is a beast at 56 pounds (22kg). May power it up tonight.
Please let us know your impressions. Congrats!
Congrats! Donât be shy about burn in time. Give it a good 450 hours or so.
It may be a while as Alvin notes in the ownerâs manual to expect a 400 hour break-in.
I do have a CDT2 Mk3, and truly enjoy what it brings to my listening experience. A CDT3 has been on my mind for some time. Now for a DAC upgrade.
@1cdfoley has an extremely pure system, the Diablo 333, the Grimm MU2, and a PowerZone. 3 Stealth power cables, Gryphon Vanta interconnect and Speaker cables feeding Wilson Yvettes. Oops, and a pair of REL S812s. Very simple, very clean. He could probably get by without the subs but thatâs no fun. His system is easily one someone could be happy with for a long time. I am envious.
Iâm very interested in the comparison between the CD2 and CD3.
Probably wonât happen as it requires relocating one of the two. One at summer home the other at primary residence.
You never know.
As it is i canât find time to post a power zone review
At the moment I am just waiting on it to come to room temperature so I may power it up, Ha!
Like me he could use 4 subs more for extreme fun!
Me too!
Just got in some Silversmith Fidelium XLR interconnects.
After a lengthy burn-in, weâll see how they fair to the more expensive Signal Projects Atlantis XLR cables I have been using.
Looking forward to reading what you think. Fidelium, as well as Front Row interconnect both interest me.
I went from 2 subs down to one, lol
