cool, but everybody knows that Italians make the best espresso. So I’m waiting for the Moto Guzzi edition!
The Accuphase E800 is fun with the right speakers, Focal comes to mind as does Sonus Faber. Then here is the Vitus line theReference RI-101 MKII or better yet the Signature SIA-030, just side step the Vitus internal DAC boards.
The MSB Premier DAC was a nice companion.
Let us not forget Ducati.
The ‘Velocità Coffee Maker’, by Garry Sammons winner of the Ducati.com Special Prize. This is a concept design in response to a Ducati Design Contest and not an actual, production model. I don’t think it’s able to brew espresso but it’s still cool.
Great find!!!

You’ve less smoke/smog then what we are experiencing. There have been recent days where we can’t see across the lake, and it is a small lake. Our region once considered a dark sight for star gazing, I have not seen any stars for the better part of two weeks. My wife and I went out for an early morning row at sunrise, only to find a fine film of ash on the lake surface. As there was no wind, the water’s surface was pure glass with a fine fog hanging just above the surface.
Yes Accuphase is, the E800.
The more I thought about the Burmester, I realized that I really don’t want an integrated with a lot of, or really any, compute. Interfaces for streaming, or a DAC aren’t what I want. The electronics eventually age out and the tech slowly becomes vintage and obsolete. I probably will get a phono card just in case.
I suppose I want a solid state “analog” integrated.
I have heard such things are still made.
I wonder if it sounds like a rattling dry clutch when it brews?
I just bought one, and I like it!
Have you looked at Solution offerings?
Optional dac and phono cards, most definitely silver!
An acquaintance has the 330, I’ve heard it a few times (Wilson Alexia’s) I thought it sounded excellent. Really nice build, powerful sounding, uber quiet, understated, but attractive (to me)
*noticed a demo, sent to Axxis for care and feeding. USAM dealer ad, Glen Carol Audio, nicely priced. No affiliation to seller
PS - what tubes are you running in your 6.5 II nowadays. Just curious…

I’ve been distracted for a while and haven’t been very active in the forum. I’ve been spending a bit too much time on car hi-fi in the past few weeks.
Now I understand a little bit about what Bacch does as a DSP. I’m very impressed by the possibilities in car hi-fi and have to admit that some systems in a car could be superior to a home hi-fi system. I’m now starting to want to equip one of my cars with such an active DSP system. Now I’m thinking about various speakers, subwoofers, and amplifiers with DSP. Of course, I don’t want to overlook anything when it comes to cables either. But in car hi-fi, special types of copper or cable insulation don’t seem to have become widespread yet. ![]()
Telefunken G 73-R
Only on web. On my list for NYC trip in September.
I have purchased from them in the past. A very good experience. Thanks for letting me know!
That’s because they are “Stealth"y.
I have a pair as well🙂
On the cheap bearing isolation footer front these ceramic bearings– which replaced some different ceramic bearings–sound pretty similar, but with less zing up top. Definitely more natural overall, if a bit less exciting. I gave each a day to settle before jumping to any conclusions. Maybe I’ll split the difference and have put the zingy balls in one or two footers.
Then again, maybe I won’t. Some Auva EQs are on the way, and hopefully soon some of those QSA-treated snake oil Amazon $5 cables will divert my attention from footers back to the joys of audiophile networking.
