Thanks! I will try to decrease the distance of the camera anyway. There isn’t anything behind my head either. My seat is about two third in the room, while the background is relatively lighter than my face. I will also try to increase light level in front of me

I’m still really enjoying the new window into my system that replacing its only rectifier with the Decware Dynagrid Jr. has brought. Today I changed the 300B output tubes from the Shuguang Black Teasure 300B-Z to the Linlai Dream Series 7300B-D and they sound quite improved with this outboard rectification. Nice to have a different “feel” to the amp and the entire presentation as a change of pace, though I suspect I’ll put the 300B-Z back in within a few days.
What is the tools name, where did you get it please?

This is the cheapest I have seen it, although there has been a rash of fake Dewalt tools of late. Home Depot also carries it. I researched a bit before buying this one as the are a number of cheaper competitors and I deem this one worth it at twice the price.

Thanks kindly Jim. This will be a great tool to allow me to replace the felt pads on my Salamander rack without removing all the equipment.
I have something like that on my list as well. One thought I have had: lifting a heavy rack by just one corner or even the center of one side might be more than the bottom shelf can handle, especially if it is MDF. Perhaps a stiff piece of wood under the shelf running beyond both columns on the sides

I also now have proof that when you make Bacch filters, take all the Syn Research black boxes and other snake oil products out of the room. The filter you make will sound better than if you leave them in. I just use the black boxes so my job is easy.

I am thinking of the movie “The Jerk” with Steve Martin. He solders a little wire nose piece on glasses and soon makes a fortune. After a while, people who use his modified glasses all go cross-eyed and he loses everything. Anyway, I need a little wire thing that attaches to my glasses, loops out and accepts the back of the HFT. This will allow the Cone of Mirth to be pointed inward towards the foolish human.
If the said wire device could also slide forward and backward, different tunings could be a possibility. I believe placing a small dot of VMax Tuning Foil on the skull, nearest the output of the Cone of Mirth, would have another effect. But which foil to choose???!!!

Two of my Dragon PCs still have vmax’s tuning rings on them, and of course the Dragon48 HDMI has a small one too. They still do wonder to the sound, and the effect is different from Stealth’s.
I do not wear glasses, but SR HFT plus his tuning rings on eye glasses maybe the next frontier in high end audio.
Then, there is always the ultimate tweak; a RFI/EMI blocking cone hat to wear during long listening session.
Ooo good point Jim. I was concerned about I jack being unstable so I bought 2. I didn’t consider the bottom shelf snapping . I took the footers off decades ago when I put pieces of cork on each corner making a loaded rack easier to slide around on a pine floor. Definitely need to noodle before moving forward.
