Long before the package arrives the mood changing and mind altering begins during the anticipation when ordering audio gear.
My next upgrade is an Audio Magic M2 Masterpiece fuse for my PMG Signature preamp.
The free upgrades are always the best, and lately I got two from Grimm on their MU2 FW updates. 
Interestingly the two made two different SQ impacts to my system. The first one brought in a quieter background that resulted in better details and clarity, and the 2nd FW update brought in a sweeter analog-like SQ. This brought back good memory from DS MK2 SQ improvement from FW updates. Too bad MK2 will not get more updates because I believe there could be more SQ improvement to it.
It is quite amazing that these FPGA based DACs could bring in so much SQ improvement. When playing DSD256 files now, I am not sure PMG SACD/512 has a SQ advantage anymore. They still sound different, but the obvious advantage of playing SACD is gone. Both are sounding quite amazing now.
What more could anyone want than that! They both sound amazing but different. What could be more fun than two alternatives to choose from.

Stack auva feet are in the mail and I have several Linlai E-6SN7 Globe-Balloon Black Plates Vacuum Tubes on order. Later I may order network acoustics power supply and their muon2 filter.
There are worthwhile upgrades such as components and even cables that I am welling to spend more money on, and there are some accessories such as footers, plug-in conditioners, some fuses (not all. Oh, FB for sure), and even Lucaâs Origine B2 (yup, I heard an improvement) that I deemed worthy of their costs too.
Then, there are other upgrades that one could spend a ton of money on, and I am not sure the performance/cost ratio makes sense (I know, it is a personal thing). For example, I have four grounding boxes for four components that cost less than $1k (all four), I do hear improvement. But if someone removes them without me knowing, I am not sure I could hear a noticeable SQ downgrade at first; maybe on a good day. But there are many grounding boxes selling over five digits. I wonder will one hear that much more improvement? Will the improvement be equivalent to, say, a PMG component upgrade? Well, maybe someone can tell me they are worthy. Too bad Luca lost interest and he will be the first to tell me.
So, this leads me to my next grounding box and I hope it is an upgrade:

I bought this thing from Aliexpress. For one it is cheap ($500), and they sent me a $55 discount coupon and told me it is the last one. So I had to buy it (I checked back later and there are more to sell, oh well ). It has a battery for charging, so the power cord shouldnât matter. That itself will save me more money. 
I will probably get it within two weeks. I hope I will hear worthwhile improvement from it. If not, $500 does not hurt me much.
I have great luck with the Shunyata Research Altaira X with silver ground cables. Very expensive, but improvement similar to a higher end component.
My latest is an AM-M2 fuse arriving today for the PMG preamp, based on your recommendations. I have a Synergistic Research master in my Berkeley 3P DAC and it will stay there.
I think star grounding can be beneficial, but some rare components do not like it. Good luck.
I have heard good things about Shunyata Altaira X grounding system and it may be one of the best out there. I really like their Omega X digital cables too. I want to see if the G.B. I ordered will improve SQ of my system in any way since I am very happy with the sound now. If it makes a noticeable improvement then future G.B. in the higher level will be in play.
I believe M2 fuse will improve your system, and it did better than others in my system. But SR has a new fuse coming out soon, and it is supposedly an improvement over their Pink fuse (I have it in MU2, and like it). However, I do not want to be the first to try it yet.
My latest upgrade finally arrived today after a seven week wait: Fyne Audio F703SPs to replace regular 703s. They are settling in really nicely, though it is said that they need 200 hours to fully develop. They fine. Happy boyâŠ
This grounding business drives me crazy. Reading from a number of top-name brands who make grounding devices, they all do it differently.
I started with PURITAN RouteMaster and Signal Ground. I connected all components including P15 and M1200 amps with their green cables. The improvement I heard could never be demonstrated to anyone because I was not sure I heard a difference. The funny thing is I only heard a difference when they were removed. Well, that was not good enough for me and made me a doubter too.
Then I got these Xangsane metal grounding boxes and their silver cables to hook up to sources and DAC. Gryphon amp and PowerZone do not other than connecting each other with a silver cable. This time I have heard an improvement, more than the Puritan stuff. Still, I do not have the confidence to show anyone listening to them that there is a difference, because it takes someone knows my system well to hear it. Then I am the only one that hears the improvement. So, I am still a doubter.
Here comes the third cheap try, and I really hope I will become a non-doubter finally.
My experience is the ground boxes that do not connect their component star grounds with your main power supply ground are not as effective. I have a dedicated 10 ga Romex for my components on 20 amp circuit. The Altaira ground unit attaches directly to the ground in the wall outlet which is the same as the ground on all the power cables to the components. In my case I go through an Everest X and Altaira X but SR have a plastic adapter that can just plug the ground into the outlet to attach to.
It is important that you have a good solid 10 gauge if possible, ground cable to the outlet box and outside to foundation rebar and copper ground rod. Grounding really works and is critical for the last bit of tweaking.
Look for a used Altaira or buy one with a 30 day return option. Then maybe you will hear justification. Good luck.

I am not grounded, or fully grounded. I donât even know, lol.
I had an electrician add a second ground rod as summers here in Northern California are so dry that ground impedance increases through the summer.
I have just about every component is my streaming system grounded to my Synergistic Active Ground Block SX, so dozens of connectionsâbut not the power amps. For some reason that isnât good or effective. My Fyne speakers and super tweeters have ground lugs and I ground these to the Ground Block as wellâŠ
Just curious: before calling an electrician, have you experimented with watering the ground rod?
