240v components in the US

Hello everyone!
A while back, I picked up a set of Sony SS-M9ED speakers in mint condition, unfortunately I passed on the rest of the set the owner had. I’ve regretted that decision ever since. Well, I have finally found the rest of the components, the SACD-1 is us voltage, but the TA-E1 and TA-N1 are UK voltage. What will be my best option to deal with the voltage difference? I know I can get a transformer to change the voltage, but will this degrade the sound? Sorry if this has been discussed already. Thank you for all your help!

Gary

You might ask an electrician if it is possible to install a 220 volt line where you need it. Most homes in the US have this capability as the higher voltage is commonly used by some large appliances, like electric ovens and clothes driers.

as long as isolation on the 220v line is done, to be on the safe side? eg a 1:1 Transformer as part of the install?

You might want to check and see if changing the voltage is as simple as changing the wiring from the transformer.
