I thought that might get your attention.
I’m listening to Sonny Rollins (The Bridge, and with the Contemporary Leaders) and never heard it/my system sound so good. It was as if a new 14k mountain was snuck onto my DAC!
It reminded me of the time one of my local high-end dealers told me that your mood has a huge impact on your listening experience. It occurred to me that two things affected my mood today. I may have resurrected my refrigerator, which would cost at least $6k to replace and bring me no joy. The other is that I feel I am falling in love with a beautiful woman in whom I can find not a fault.
My lesson learned is that blissful listening is happy and positive listening. And that serious (consternated?) listening is counterproductive and damaging to enjoyment.
