What is the best aftermarket fuse, if there is one, for the DS MKII.
I was happy with AM M2 fuse in MKII, it sounded better than SR Purple, Master, and AM M1 fuse before it.
But the new SR Holographic fuse seems to get some nice reviews from members here, and it replaces the Pink fuse (I like the Pink in MU2). I plan to get a Holographic fuse to compare in a few weeks after our trip.
The Holographic is the one I am looking at. My only other experience is with the Purple in my P3. It blew yesterday.
OK can anyone give me the specs for the "smallâ fuse in the back go the MKII? Fast or slow blow? Amperage?
For US 120V: 1A slow blow 5mm x 20mm fuse. Confirmed with the back of my MKII.

Does anyone know which way electricity flows on the fuse that sticks in and turns on the MKll? Does it go from the chassis to the fuse cap or vice versa?
I have a SR Holographic fuse to try. Iâll post any results I have.
I believe most (all?) PSA gear has the current flow from fuse cap to chassis. I encourage you to verify or maybe someone will confirm or disagree.
I just swapped the fuse around and it sounds better with the left side (S of the S&R) in the chassis first rather than in the cap. The company says current should flow from left to right and the S is the left side so it seems current flows from chassis to cap.
It sounds better this way so I guessed correctly
Itâs good to check it both ways you never really know. 
So it depends on how the plug is oriented?
On the MK2 the contact at the very bottom of the fuse holder has continuity with the Neutral blade on IEC Inlet. On the PMG 512 itâs the opposite, with continuity between the Live IEC blade. Interesting enough, I have the fuse in the PMG the same orientation as my MK2, with the S closest to the fuse cap. This has been the case with Purple, Pink, and now Holographic fuses. There is definitely a difference in sound quality regarding fuse orientation on both DACs, and I could see where some might prefer one direction vs the other.
I believe the three IEC photos have to do with the mains fuse that goes with the inlet.
Yes. My MKll mains connector is the same as the 3rd pic on the right. Therefore the fuse goes in like the fuse photo beside the mains connector. It sounds good backwards but there is more âholographicâ sound when itâs in like the photo. The S on the fuse goes into the chassis first.
