AirLens and EtherRegen

Sorry, I did not find the answer, so maybe this is old story:

I have AirLens connected to Etherregen side B and I am very often loosing connection to AirLens in Roon or direct from Tidal or Qobuz apps. A lot of members here are using this combination. So what is your experience? I always need reconnect Etherregen from power and then it works…

Nobody is using EtherRegen with AirLens?

What is your connection from the router to the EtherRegen? I ask, because I used to have this setup, which caused me many problems: Ubiquiti Gateway > Unifi 16 Port Switch > Fiber > EtherRegen 1 (Media) > Ethernet > EtherRegen 2 (Audio) > Dutch & Dutch 8Cs. My 8Cs and Roon server would sometimes fall off my network. I then separated my media and audio, running ethernet to the media and fiber to the audio. No dropouts since then. So, my new, more stable path is: Ubiquiti Gateway > Unifi 16 Port Switch > Fiber > EtherRegen 2 (Audio) > Dutch & Dutch 8Cs. I don’t know why this helped, but perhaps more knowledge members can explain it.

I send Qobuz to an Airlens via an iPad…i have had intermittent loss of my Qobuz to the Airlens on numerous occasions such that the wifi signal reverts the music back to the iPad and I have to re-direct Qobuz back to the Airlens…is this what you are having happen in your set up ?

My AirLens is feed by a Etherregen, side B. I run Roon with Qobuz and local files, no issues here. I tried the Qobuz connect for awhile and it works fine too.

Thanks! You are lucky man :slightly_smiling_face: Excalibur

This is not my case, I can not connect to Airlens on starting up all system. I must repower Etherregen switch and then it works.

I do leave the Airlens and regen on 24/7, only shutting off occasionally when I’m away for several days. Not sure if that makes a difference?

Hi BK, thanks for the answer! You are closer my setup. I have Vodafone modem as router on cable TV network, very fast internet. Furutech LAN cable to Teltonika switch with two SFP ports. On input I use Mikrotik SFP-RJ45 modul for Furutech LAN. Then optical LC cables with Edge SFP+ moduls to EtherRegen. On side A there are audio PC and NAS, on B side is Airlens. I always switch off all my system during the nights and problem is on starting on. Airlens is not on network. PC and NAS work. I must switch off and on Etherregen and Airlens appears and works all day…

I think yes! But here in EU is so high cost of energies, so I am off in the nights.
