For those of you that care, in their latest firmware and software update Auralic has integrated Amazon Music into their Lightning DS software. How well it works or sounds is yet to be seen but it does now give you a choice of an upscale streamer if Amazon Music is important to you. It showed up on my units yesterday.
That’s cool. Auralic is really stepping up its game with all of the separates (separate devices I mean, independent of this software update).
Thanks for the info. I have to give it a try on my G2. I’ll let you know how it sounds.
Thank you! I’m watching this thread. I will be wifi based and currently have Amazon HD, Spotify and Qobuz. I figured I will have to go BS Node or a G1. This may make the choice easier with positive reviews. Hopefully everyone is happy with their G1…
I own two and love them
What will be interesting to see is if this deal with Auralic is a one of or if it is a sign that Amazon is now going to release their API to the other three members of the “Big Four” of streaming manufacturers. Also if all three of them will implement it especially Aurender who has declined to get involved with Roon. If so this may signal the beginning of Amazon’s pre-emptive strike against Apple and Spotify getting into the Lossless business.
