Any MBL fans out there?

I also use plants for sound diffusion and room enhancement.
Do you also use them?

Another rare look at the crossover

What plants / room treatment do you use for your amazing MBL extremes?
Any difference between grilles on and off?

I am working at using a temporary screen between my Xtremes for movie nights. Will keep you posted when it is done.

My MBL Fandom started on a fateful day when I purchased some MBL 120s used on a whim. Best 11k I ever spent…unless you look at the drug addictive nature of MBL. I am the probably the most biased MBL fanboy. Using MBL amplification is the best value for squezzing out the sound that Jurgen wants out of the speakers he designs. I dont even think of other amplification for the gear.

Do the amps get overheated that close to each other?

Beautiful by the way!

Nope. They are not that sensitive to heat on the sides. The tops can get hot and the heat is related to how many of the three transofrmers you are using. 1st on is in front, 2nd in the middle, 3rd in back.

Excellent! I think Jeremy should be contacting you to use this picture on the MBL website!

I would love to replace my Rowland amps with the 9011 amps.
But they are very expensive and rarely come up on the used market.
Hard to sell mine currently, which doesn’t prompt me to look immediately for replacements…

Keep in touch. If the fiance doesn’t like the sizes of the 9011’s in the music room you can have my 2005 vintage set for 5k less than I bought them used. It think I have around 43K in the set used.

I have not had the time to treat the room because I have done an extensive remodel since that picture. I may use plants on the wall behind the speakers with some diffusers in front. Ideally I get some nice looking absorbers on the rear wall with local photos from the local historic society. Also going to put some absorbers on the ceiling. work in progress…and the progress is slow.

Your dual PSI C214’s should complement the sound and the asthetics of that great room. FedEx tells me you will have them tomorrow.

@FRO Any plants in the room for diffusion?

No plants, only the Stillpoint Aperture panels and corner bass traps.
Thanks!
