Just finished. Highly recommended beautifully written easy read recommended to me by my lovely bride. I freely admit that parts had me in tears.
An epistolary novel of Rome’s first emperor, Caesar Augustus. If you liked Colleen McCullough’s First Man in Rome series but found them too long and too dense this is an easier read.
Finished Bill Kreutzman’s Deal a few days ago. I’m hopelessly fascinated by all things Grateful Dead. Super fun, engaging read. Interesting to hear about his relationship with Mickey Hart, and how strained it was. And oh my goodness, all the acid they did. Like pretty much every week for 20 years. How his brain is still functioning is beyond me. 
I go between nonfiction and beach reads like Michael Connelly. Guilty pleasure, for sure. Just started this one last night.
