Are You Using The Stock Power Cord To Power Your Power Plant?

A 10 GA BAV with the special C19 connector on my P20.

AudioQuest Hurricane High-Current 20 Amp on three different Power Plants.

VOODOO Vision Power powercord on my P12, it’s an 8 gauge cable

Currently AQ Monsoon, but I’m in discussions with my local Shunyata dealer…
contemplating Alpha v2 XC to my P15 as part of an ‘Alpha package’ deal (with NR and XLR)

Using Shunyata SIGMA NR (1.5meter) plugged into Furutech GTX-S NCF® single plug fed from 60ft #8AWG romex from 400A main panel fed from XFMR 30 ft away under ground.

Process -

Using IN/OUT wire hole as IN/IN for twice the contact area.

For my PS Audio Stellar P3:
• PS Audio PerfectWave AC-12
• Synergistic Research UEF Blue

Uncertain which I like better. Both are very good in this application.

First, thanks to everyone for participating in the poll.

For those who have compared their system sound with the stock cable and their upgraded replacement, can you please post what those changes are in this thread?

Thanks!

I have a 2 meter AudioQuest Monsoon currently running to my P12. I just bought a Pangea Audio AC 9SE MKII Signature Power Cable (2 Meter) to try that out. It’s cheaper than the Monsoon and much fatter. It’s 7 gauge of Cardas Grade One Copper and 99.99% purity OFC conductors. I’ll let you know if I perceive any differences. Whichever cable loses goes down onto the home theatre system.

Make sure to give those Pangeas ample time to burn in. They do take their sweet time.

One thing I forgot to say was that out of curiosity I used a non contact
voltage detector to see if any voltage could be detected from my
Pangea power cables and am happy to report that my non contact voltage detector
could not detect voltage at all from the Pangea AC 9SE MkII and AC14SE MkII cables.
Even when set to max sensitivity no voltage detected…

I find this to be a big plus in reducing interference that could otherwise emanate
from the Pangeas

Jay Victor did a great job on these!!

They’re definitely emitting magnetic fields if not electric, but strength depends on how much current. My phone RCA cable detects hum when placed near the Pangea driving the sub.

Interesting…Running my P15, Parasound JC5 along with sources and pre at
around 80db or so; my non contact volt detector on full sensitivity does not
detect anything on any of the power cables…the JC5 is quite demanding .
I have used this detector on other items with smaller voltage and it sounds off
and lights up so the detector is working.

I wonder what the difference could be…

Best wishes all

Pangea AC9 or Shunyata Venom HC on my recently arrived Stellar P3

Just curious …which variant of the Pangea AC9 are you using?
