As 2024 comes to a close, 2024 was a great year for my stereo system. From the posts on upgrades others have made, sounds like several of us have had nice upgrades to our systems in 2024.
From Wilson speakers to Vitus amps to Stealth Sakra V17 interconnect to the MU2 to the Gryphon Powerzone to the Diablo 333 to PS Audio FR20 & FR30 speakers to FR10 & FR5 speakers to relocating the listening room to completely rebuilding the listening room, 2024 has been a good year for several forum members.
My upgrades include a Grimm MU2, CJ GAT-S2 preamp, 534 power amp and an AQ Dragon power cable (3 out of 4 previously owned). Take out any one of those 3 components and the system turns to crap. I got lucky with synergy in 2024.

2024 has been a year of frustration in general. Music has been my one sancturary, and hardware upgrades have been a source of satisfaction.

Oh, I didnāt read the beginning and thought you did all these upgrades by yourselfš I was going to offer your used Vitus and Sakra! Well, this group has done well, and I did fine myself.
I know Iāll continue my uphill climbing in audio mountain next year too.

@dchang05, Those were my 2024 changes, as I consolidated and transitioned from a tube based system. Still miss the tube sound to be honest.
Having a Vitus, no need to duplicate.
Regarding Sakra, tell me more.

2024 was a banner year for my system, best year ever in fact. Started off with my DS MKII DAC in January. Then Stack Audio Auva EQ footers followed by an Orchard Audio Starkrimson power amp in July. Finally a pair of Silversmith Fidelium interconnects in November. Also discovered the joys of bi wiring my speakers this fall. Looking forward to ordering another set of Silversmith cables soon.
Oh, I almost forgot- the Blue Sky update was a significant upgrade that seems to bring all the rest to a fine point of focus.

As the year comes to a close, I want to thank all of you that share the hobby, time and knowledge.
Also @Paul @Chris_Brunhaver for taking my questions, offering feedback and providing the space and equipment.
Many have helped and shared and Iām thankful for that.
(and I got a new DAC this year, some more tweaks for my network, new diaphragms on my EMIMs and keep inching the speakers and the MLP ever so slightly).

2024 was the year of many new wonderful friends and associate audiophiles for me. A stupendous year turned up to 11.
Rabbits ruled the year.

I am thankful for what I have, but also thankful for having grown my system. Deep down I am a āless is moreā kind of guy but I consistently blow that up with more and more gear.
Weed is right. Most happiness lies in the origins of that oh so good feelingā¦record, cd, or stream. The system is just an extraction device to re-create an event. But, the mining of that information and faithfully extracting every bit is a valid quest as well.
Iām not trying to rationalize my habit. It is what it is.
