Audio show roll call! Who's going?

Well there’s Saturday. It would be a pleasure to meet you. Safe travels.

Suh-weet! I just got an email from AXPONA saying that because I’m such a valued member of the AXPONA community (maybe buying that dumb Gold Pass every year is finally paying off?), they wanted to let me know that a number of rooms at the Schaumburg had just been made available (I’m figuring either cancellations or they’ve decided to rent out a bunch of janitorial closets ). I hopped on and got a room for less money than what I was paying at the Embassy Suites. No free breakfast, though. Oh well. I’d rather be at the show hotel. I’ve walked in the high winds, rain, and snow previous years to the convention center from nearby hotels. I’ll gladly give that up.

One pays for that Embassy Suites breakfast in other ways, thus interrupting your Axpona pleasure.

I got that same e-mail and I’m just a regular three day pass kind of guy. Of course I only stay two nights so I don’t qualify. That’s ok, I won’t know until sometime after April 1st if I can even go.

Hopefully you can make it, and hopefully you find out any day other than April 1

As Axpona is nearly upon us I thought I’d put this out again. Post show Friday anyone interested in a dinner meet-up near the Renaissance Convention Center, either Shaws Crab House or Weber Grill? Also, following dinner I am planning on attending the Audio Experience MSB/Rockport Onyx demo and am offering transport for up to three additional interested parties.

Yes please

Know anyone else interested, as I’ll make reservations Friday.

What time is the plan for dinner? And the start of the demo? I’ve listened to enough Bobby Broom on Qobuz and I’m second guessing if I want to go to that performance.

Good Tony. Sweep the Bobby gig away and come to dinner.

The timing is the key. If it works it’ll be me and my wife. Still, I don’t like giving up live performances if at all possible.

ok, but I’ll have about 30 minutes of lame jokes ready, so there’s your live performance. :grinning:

We are flexible.

All I do are old guy lame jokes, so you have been warned.

I hate to put conditions on things but would otherwise love to join. The condition is no Shaw’s. I’ve developed a pretty bad allergy to shrimp, crab and lobster: sorry! I didn’t even go to ACME Oyster House on my last NOLA trip and that’s my last rights meal.

If Weber Grill is good, I’m in. Steak and a cocktail, or two, is right in my wheelhouse. Time doesn’t matter, let me know. I’ll be flying solo. My tiny sweetheart hates most things audiophile.

Ron, I’m betting your jokes are pretty damn funny.

I’m good with steak!
Which reminds me: A horse walks in to a bar…

I am good on passing up on Shaws, especially considering we have two east coasters interested that certainly have better access to seafood than what we have in the midwest.
