I don’t know how I missed that. WorldWide Whatever doesn’t mention them do they?

You don’t mean the hdmi ones that are £25 on Amazon uk? that’s 20 x cheaper than diamond.

Yes they make some hdmi cords too and I´ve been using their Exzellenz model before Dragon. Shortest they make is 1.5m and should be around 70€.

They have just released newer 2.1 version too but I don´t know if it´s good for i2s connection.

And how does it stand up for audio versus the mighty Dragon?
Or a Wireworld or a RAL etc…

Curiosity took place and I swapped Inakustik back. First notes are out and I can tell why I usually like copper cables vs silver if that makes sense. At least with Inakustik usb this hdmi works really well in my system. Dragon is better in hi-fi terms overall ,cleaner and bigger with a bit better separation and depth ,this n that but Inakustik is livelier with rich tonal palette and easy to just forget about analyzing and keep listening. I´d like to have Dragon made out of Inakustik copper

I could live with both but I give a few more points to Dragon. Those who don´t want to spend Dragon money, get Exzellenz and be happy.

The closest to the Dragon with copper would be Thunderbird 48.

You can read my review in Audioquest Firebird48 vs. Dragon48 thread elsewhere in this forum.

Just received email that my Dragon HC PC is shipped! It should be here by Thursday before Christmas! The Christmas dinner this year will be extra tasty!

It will be burned in by Christmas of 2022! Enjoy and Merry Christmas!!! Looking forward to reading your report!

Merry Christmas to you too. Hopefully by New Year I can report. I mean the coming New Year!

@dchang05 It was noticeable upgrade out of the box. Enjoy your selection The Dragon HC power cord was not as punishing as an HDMi Dragon or a purple fuse. Just closed in and not as much defined bass at first. One can really appreciate it after a couple of hundred hours.

Great! I will compare it to the Zavfino Silver Dart and give a short report on my finding!

Before the Christmas party, I replaced my favored Zavfino OCC Silver Dart power cord with the AQ Dragon HC (48 hour hi-power burn in with an adaptor to feed my wine refrigerator). So, did the Silver Dart, known as a giant killer, slay the dragon? Let me just say that the S.D. is soundly defeated this time (pun intended). It was not burned into ashes by Dragon, and it is still a great warrior—especially considering how much I paid for the service. His service will move to source gear instead of P15 generator.
It is interesting to compare the two, because S.D.’s strength was in black background and smooth delivery. But its strength suffers in comparison to the Dragon. The Dragon delivers music with a better and softer transient, and a darker background. More significantly, the Dragon delivers the music with sophisticated refinement. It does not attack you in the face. It is like an old First Growth Bordeaux: the ultra-smooth flavor is deep with layers. S.D. would be like a young Bordeaux: the flavors are young and jumpy. But they do share sound similarity, by that I mean both sounded neutral and smooth.
I felt like I am reaching the end of power cords rolling. Again, using wine analogy, at the top level selecting the matching wine (cable) in the food pairing (system pairing) is more important. Personally taste comes into play also in distinguishing which wine (cable) is more likable.

But did the 48 hours with the Dragon improve the wine in the wine fridge?

Ha! We had a few bottles of wine from the fridge and they did taste great, which gave me the idea using wine analogy to describe the cables.

Good analogy, I must agree.

My Dragon HC was still closed in after a few 100 hours but better than the power cord before and the bass not as refined. Unlike the wine which breathes and opens up in a few hours. Please come back in two weeks with the silver Dart compared.

I too struggle wit whether to buy another Dragon or pick the other cord varietals.

Thanks for another great review!

Does the Dragon sound sober, also so good? :upside_down_face:

Dragon was sober, but not the guests and host. It sounded great in ant case.

Vmax, you’re right. My experience with AQ cables also indicated that they sounded closed in at beginning, especially the bass would sound lighter. It takes a few hundred hours for it to great sound.
