Good lord thats a lot of money for a cable!

I think you meant “esteemed” members but “estimated” might be more accurate :grinning:.
The Muon Pro, with cable, works fine for me. Overall, I find digital cables have less differences than analog ones. Still appreciate your observations. Stealth gets pricey with the CAT number increase and tuning ring. I have yet to find the right ring spot for my Octava T cable. More to ponder.

Now that’s funny.

I should add that despite hearing subtle differences in digital AES cables, I chose the Octava T over Shunyata Omega, Sigma, and Siltech. Once locked-in and truly aware of the changes, there was no going back, I could spot the difference every time. Took awhile to get there but I’m sure you know what I mean. We are paying the price for that awareness.

This is very interesting that Stealth goes further upstream of Tempus. No doubt you have moved it up to replace the Muon cable between the streamer and Muon filter (why will I know that?), and you like Muon Pro system as a whole in front it seems.

I wonder how much audible difference of a cable made when placing ahead of both Muon switch and filter?

Oops Freudian slip or poor English grammar?

Stealth beats Omega in AES? How about USB and that is supposed to be the crown jewel in Omega series? Wait, I don’t care anymore. No more expensive USB/AES/SPDIF cables to worry about.

Do you use any switch in front of Muon Pro? I am still debating if it is worthwhile in my system to try Muon Pro. None of the family members could tell the difference of ethernet cables ahead of Duo-LHY switches plus FO in my system (my best investment thus far in terms of performance/cost). But between MU2 and LHYs there is still an obvious difference.

I like Omega ethernet with SmoothLan currently. The Muon Pro system could sound even better, but how much better if any? I know no one can answer this but myself. I will wait until next year to find out because I need a break from rapid upgrades I have done this year.

Maybe the effect is also cumulative. The more STEALTHs you add the better the result!

Don’t know how, don’t know why but:

I prefer the STEALTH upstream, and believe me I can hear the benefit even if placed before the Tempus AND the Muon Pro

I prefer the Pink Faun downstream, between the Tempus and the Muon Pro, with the short fixed cable plugged into the streamer

Wherever I put the Muon Streaming cable, I didn’t like it as much as the two above mentioned

Anyhow I have fiber in the chain (MSB ProISL connection) before the DAC, FWIW

In three weeks you can take a long break from worrying about such things.

Maybe… C13 or C19 terminations…

C13 they are powering his BHK 600’s. I feel like his secretary. Lol

Wondering if they would be an upgrade to my PS Audio AC-12s (which are 8 gauge) currently serving a pair of 500 wpc Class A/B mono block amplifiers…

MUON PRO yes! Worth it! I tried to go the cheap route. IFI Isilencer w/DH labs Ethernet this combo sounds very good the Muon Pro much better imo. Coming off a LHY switch the difference in quality was instantly noticeable. Not Powerzone like upgrade level but yes I’d consider it a must have with Grimm MU1/MU2. Contact the same person you bought the MU2 from. He sells them

Me too…wondering if it would augment my EtherRegen nicely, which currently feeds my AirLens. On the other hand, how much more “galvanic isolation” do I need given the Pink Faun LAN Isolator, EtherRegen and TP Link Media Converters that are all upstream of my AirLens (in the order listed, starting with the Pink Faun plugged into the AirLens).

Shunyata Omega plus SmoothLAN combo has a higher cost than that of Muon Pro System actually. Muon P.S. could be better than Omega alone based on a few feedbacks here, but adding SmoothLAN to Omega is another level up in my system.

But like Al says, I am not going to worry too much about the small difference between the two once I have PZ. :man_dancing:

Based on so many positive reviews, Muon Pro System may still be the best Lan filter out there. I believe it will make an improvement over EtherRegen. However, I do not have experience with any of your gear including AirLens (has been waiting for it for too long).

But Luca, the streaming explorer, tells us there is no limit in improvement on noise isolation in streaming. Well, so far I agree with him mostly.

I am out of town right now but I had the PSA AC 12’s back in the day. Subsequently upgraded to Shunyata Alpha V1 and, later, V2.
The Hurricanes are unequivocally better and I am upgrading them to Dragons, simply cause I want them to match my 1 meter Source Dragons. I consider the Hurricanes the value leader in power cables.
PM me if you are interested and I we can work something out.

You are currently using an upgraded filter and cable you are probably fine. I thought you had just an Ethernet cable. You could get just the Muon pro filter no cable and try with the omega cable. If it’s not better I’m sure Sean will take it back or I will buy it from you. lol
