I recently upgraded to Audirvāna Origin 2.0. I know this is subjective, but to me my music sounds significantly better with the new version. This especially true for voices.
Unfortunately, it was impossible for me to do an A/B/A/B comparison between 1.0 and 2.0. I haven’t noticed an improvement in sound, but that’s not to say that there wasn’t one.
I did do a comparison between 3.5 and Origin 1.0. Origin was a clear step up, which caught me off guard. I figured there wasn’t much left to improve.
I’m still upset that due to a computer crash. My older (2020) Audirvana was wiped out and they would not let me download that version even though I legally paid for a download key.
Since there is no audible difference between Qobuz and AmazonHD. I’m stuck with the crappy BluOS interface with AmazonHD.When I had trial versions of Qobuz, It was wonderful within the BluOS App.
Audirvanna & Roon will never be AmazonHD compatible. So I’m stuck with it. I don’t think there should be an audible difference between the two versions.
There really ought to be a law against such behaviour.
