@umiami91 hope you’re enjoying the White Sox! Team is fun!
Comerica Park June 8 should be the “real” opening day for Detroit Tigers fans: first home game since restrictions were lifted as of June 1.
Go Tigers!
Wrigley has actually dropped the mask requirement everywhere in the park except ‘indoor spaces’. Translation: everyone’s gotten rid of their masks, period. Hoping to see 60% of capacity revised to full capacity later in the season. At 60% the place is already rockin’. Helps my North Siders are red hot. How sweet it was seeing my Cubbies take a broom to to Padres (I was at game 1). With the Sox rockin’ on the South Side I’d say Chicago baseball is da bomb.
How fast things can change in the Windy City! Yikes
Heading up to the North Side this afternoon to do my part — trying to help the Cubs reverse course…
Looks increasingly like it will be the last time I see some of the players in a Cub uniform.
Sigh…
Life long Cubs fan here! Wrigley Field is 45 miles SE from my front door. Last time I was at Wrigley was when the Cubs lost a 1 game playoff to the Colorado Rockies. Depressing game tho I was able to see all the Cubs starting pitchers pitch in one game.
Typical Chicago sports team this year. Give us a month of hope and dominance only to crash and burn.
Enjoy the game Scott! Go Cubs!
Currently, it’s about 550 miles from my house to Wrigley Field. (I grew up in NW Indiana.)
The family is gathering at the Homestead for an 80th Birthday celebration for Mom tomorrow and my sister and I are taking my life-long 84-year-old Cub-fan Father to the game this afternoon as a belated Father’s Day gift.
Been a long while since I took in a Cub’s game. Should be fun…
Wrigleyville and Wrigley Field is going to look completely different from the last time you were there! Enjoy the game!
Thanks. I saw some of the changes to the “neighborhood” two or three winters ago when we visited the region and took in the winter festival nearby (I forgot what the City Planners call the shindig.)
Looking forward to getting back in the park.
SEE
So great to see fans back in the seats at these ballparks. Never thought I would miss them so much, but boy did I ever. They bring an essential energy to the game.
Turned out to be a great game and the Cubs faithful were plenty loud and into it.
Flying the “W” in Wrigleyville this afternoon.
It’s always a great game when the Northsiders conquer the Redbirds.
It hurt a little to heart that post.
LOL…
Thanks.
This series could be the last time some of those players wear a Cubs uniform.
Yep. As I noted above.
You guys think pitchers are getting beat up a little more now because they can’t use the sticky stuff anymore?
No doubt. Great example is Chapman gave up 1 ER all season before the rule change and at least 14 ER (as of the other day) since the rule change. Whole bunch of other pitchers are in the same boat. League batting averages are going up too.
Scherzer getting roughed up lately, he’s been one of the biggest crybabies regarding the crackdown
