I’m a die hard life long Cubs fan but I don’t have much hope. Jed ruined the Cubs chances when he did nothing at the trade deadline this season. Talent wise the other teams in the playoffs are built to win.

I wish they had made a move for a starter. Not sure a deal was to be had though.

Being one starter short aside, I think the offense has sufficient talent but hitting with RISP has been abysmal and the offense has been hot and cold and underperformed since the All Star break.

If they don’t start hitting and pinch hitting for Happ in key late inning situations, we won’t get much farther.

My $.025.

Cheers Paul

Agree no offense after the first inning.

Thank you Cubs for letting go of Kyle Schwarber! We love those Schwar-Bombs in Philly! The guy has tremendous bat speed.

We Tigers fans had the same opinion of GM Scott Harris, yet here we go
into Game 5. (I will concede that the Mariners have a stronger lineup with add-ons Naylor and Suarez.)

Is Skubal enough of an equalizer?

Keep the faith.

“
pinch hitting for Happ
”

That didn’t age well.

Paraphrasing Mr. Caray here, “Let’s get lots of runs!”.
