Didn’t leave me ready to run out for World Series tickets. Perhaps a sign of bigger things in the off season?

I believe we have the bats, but are still short one high quality starter. Time will tell. Should be a competitive second half.

According to The Athletic even Brian Cashman of the Yankees admitted he tried for a front line starting pitcher and struck out. Maybe the deal just wasn’t there to be made.

To get something you got to give something. My Phillies added a much needed closer…and a good one! Gave up their #4 & #6 prospects. Neck & neck with the Mets (or is it the Jets :laughing:) for the NL East. Dig in baby!

Finished the season on a bit of a high note…hosting the first WC round against the Padres starting Tuesday.

If nothing else, 22 games up in the win column and a 92 win season is better than l hoped for back in April.
