Which albums of Bill Evans are in your top 5?
This counts as 1!

and one bonus album:
I left off the obvious choices…
… and there they are directly below, good taste BTW.
I tried hard, but it’s an impossible task.
And yours?
It’s like @pbphoto was reading my mind.
A rare day goes by that I don’t listen to at least one Bill Evans album.
1.Bill Evans Portrait in Jazz
2.Bill Evans Live At Art D’Lugoff’s Top Of The Gate
3.Bill Evans Evans In England
4.Bill-Evans Some Other Time The Lost Session From The Black Forest
5.Another Time The Hilversum Concert

ps. amazing i found today this album when viewing resonacerecords channel in youtube ( i didnt knew about this album before so i made update my list):
Bill Evans feat. Eddie Gomez, Jack DeJohnette / Live at Ronnie Scott’s

Ps.2 all the dsd of 2xhd sound so great; i just can imagine how great the reel to reel should sound;
sound engineer René Laflamme, interesting guy is it him that makes the remasterings?

ps.3 reel to reel heaven
Oh wow. You guys just made me want to go listen.
All of the above!
Yes as far as I read he does. The 2xHD Bill Evans are sourced from the DSD source, the Resonance LP‘s from hires or redbook source, the Lugoff from analog tape.
All in all, if those are your 6 favorites, I think you can expect even more magic to explore…in terms of music from Evans and especially sound quality, as I think you selected more or less the worst sounding available of his repertoire with the new Live at Ronnie Scott’s as one of the worst sounding LP‘s (or files) I ever heard (which without disrespect just means most others sound better).
If you buy some audiophile versions of several other records mentioned here (except the Everybody digs), you will not be disappointed to the least
in fact yes i have change my list after exploring all the Bill Evans albums the top 5 for me are these:
Waltz For Debby
Monica Zetterlund & Bill Evans Waltz for Debby
Portrait In Jazz
Alone
these are the ones i listen often, the number 5 im not really yet ready to chose one becuase it get litle harder to chose someone that makes me feel like when listen to these 4, soon i will decide the nr 5 i guess, when i have time again, to go and compare, but until then i feel that i already enought with these 4 that are my favorites, everybody have their taste
Waltz for Debby in any format. I have no ‘Top 5’ for an artist as consummate as Bill Evans, but I definitely have a favorite album out of his (astounding) discography.
I belive My favorite is portrait in jazz
